Introduction:
Research Institute of International Business of ZUEL (the Institute), established in 2001, was founded by a research team with reasonable age profile and knowledge architecture, a collaborative pattern both inside and outside the university, and equal emphasis on research and practice after generations of efforts. Focused on problem-oriented principle, innovative cooperation, academic exploration, competitive scientific products, and disciplinary development, the Institute has long been committed to high-level research on leading edge and practical issues of international economic and trade such as international business, international trade, and international trade practice. Since its establishment, the researchers of the Institute have undertaken not only government-sponsored researches such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Social Science Fund of China, but also the consulting projects entrusted by government departments and enterprises. In addition, the Institute actively carried out scientific and teaching activities, held various academic lectures and alumni experience-sharing sessions for students and conscientiously cultivated students of all types and levels.
From 2019 to 2021, the Institute undertook 21 scientific and teaching research projects of various types with funding support of 1.92 million RMB, published 27 scientific research and teaching papers and 4 monographs, and trained 6 doctoral students including 3 international students as well as hundreds of postgraduate students. Most of the graduate doctoral students engaged in teaching and research work in colleges and universities, and some of them were promoted to professors and obtained national-level projects.
